This Privacy Policy describes how colorly.ai ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and discloses your personal information when you visit the site, make coloring pages or books, buy credits or otherwise communicate with us (the "Services"). colorly.ai is operated from Canada and handles personal information in line with Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA.

Please read this policy carefully. By using the Services, you agree to the collection, use and disclosure of your information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services.

What we collect

Information you give us directly, or that's created when you use the Services:

  • Account details: your email address, received from Google when you sign in.
  • What you make: your prompts, book outlines, generated images and whether you've shared a book.
  • Purchases: the credit packs you buy and your credit history.
  • Support messages: anything you choose to include when you email us or use the contact form.

Please don't include personally identifying information in your prompts.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data: server logs, which may include your IP address, device and browser details and how you use the site, and basic site analytics.

Information from third parties:

  • Google: confirms your email address when you sign in.
  • Stripe: collects your payment details and tells us whether a payment succeeded. We never see or store your full card number.

How we use your information

  • Providing the Services: running your account, generating what you ask for, processing purchases and refunds, and managing your credits.
  • Security and fraud prevention: detecting and acting on fraudulent, illegal or malicious activity, and enforcing our Terms. Tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
  • Communicating with you: answering support requests and sending important account or purchase messages.
  • Improving the Services: keeping the site working and understanding how it's used.
  • Legal obligations: meeting our legal, tax and accounting requirements.

We don't sell your personal information, share it for targeted advertising or show ads. We don't currently send marketing emails. If we start, you'll be able to unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in and to protect forms. We don't use advertising cookies. Your browser can remove or block cookies, but you won't be able to log in without them.

Who we share it with

We share personal information with third-party service providers, only as needed for them to do their jobs:

  • AI providers: your prompts, to generate images and book outlines.
  • Sign-in and payment providers: logging you in and processing purchases, including your email address.
  • Hosting, storage and analytics providers: running the app, its database and your images, and understanding how the site is used.
  • Email and messaging providers: handling support email and internal alerts to us, which can include your email address and support messages.

We may also disclose information when you ask us to, as part of a business transaction such as a merger or sale, to comply with the law, or to enforce our Terms and protect the Services, our rights or the rights of others.

Shared books

Your images and books are private by default. If you turn on sharing for a book, anyone with the link can see it and download its PDF, but not your email address. We can't control what people do with content once it's been shared.

Third-party websites and links

Our site may link to websites we don't control, such as Stripe's checkout page. Please review their privacy and security policies, as we aren't responsible for them.

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards, but no security measures are perfect, and we can't guarantee complete security. Please don't send us sensitive information by email.

We keep your account information, images, purchase history and support messages until you ask us to delete your account. After that, we remove them within a reasonable time, except for records we need for legal, tax or accounting reasons, disputes or fraud prevention. Logs and provider copies are kept according to each provider's own schedule.

Where your information is processed

Our service providers may process your information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it's subject to local laws and may be accessible to authorities there.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of these rights. They aren't absolute, and we may decline a request where the law allows:

  • Access: ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it.
  • Correction: ask us to correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your account and personal information.
  • Portability: ask for a copy of your information.
  • Restriction: ask us to stop or limit how we process your information.
  • Withdrawing consent: withdraw consent you've given us, which may mean we can't keep providing the Services.
  • Appeal: appeal our decision by replying to it.

To make a request, email support@colorly.ai from your account's email address, and we'll respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first, and we won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights. You can also use an authorized agent, where the law allows, and we'll ask them to show they're acting for you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, including to reflect changes to our practices or the law. We'll post the new version here and update the date above, and give reasonable notice if a change is significant.
